Mr Geoff Richardson
Mr Richardson joined the Australian Government Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (DSEWPaC) in late 2008, and took responsibility for the agency’s environmental and spatial information agenda. His remit includes the National Plan for Environmental Information, the National Environmental Research Program (formerly Commonwealth Environmental Research Facilities), the Environmental Resources Information Network (ERIN), and delivering the 2011 State of Environment Report. Geoff is also the Department’s representative on the TERN Board, Atlas of Living Australia Steering Committee and the Board of the Australian Oceans Data Centre Joint facility. Prior to joining DSEWPaC, Geoff spent considerable time as a natural resource manager at the Australian Fisheries Management Authority and also spent a year at the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans based in Vancouver.
