You’re invited to this annual briefing, which will review the condition of Australia’s natural resources and ecosystems over the past year.

Drawing on the most recent observations on land, at sea and from space, the briefing will summarise the natural and human drivers of environmental change during the year, and its impact on ecosystems, agriculture and biodiversity.

The briefing will discuss key events as well as general patterns, and summarise them into an environmental scorecard for each state and territory. Alongside with the briefing, a summary report and online Australia’s Environment Explorer are released.

The Annual Environment Briefing is produced by ANU Centre for Water and Landscape Dynamics, with support from TERN, the National Computational Infrastructure, the Atlas of Living Australia, Integrated Marine Observing System, Geoscience Australia, CSIRO, Bureau of Meteorology, and others.
