The team at TERN’s AusPlots facility are passionate about developing a world-class ecosystem surveillance monitoring program for Australia that’s open and accessible to all. This month, to help anyone anywhere take advantage of their suite of infrastructure for ecosystem monitoring, they’ve launched a new website: www.ausplots.org.au
The website is a good way for us to widely share the story of AusPlots’ infrastructure and ensure our users can easily access the most current outputs from AusPlots,’ said AusPlots Director Ben Sparrow.
‘We’re also excited to have a number of our users and collaborators contributing directly to the website, describing the ways that AusPlots has helped them to advance their work.’
AusPlots Forests manual released
Just one of the recent AusPlots outputs that people can access on the website is the newly updated AusPlots Forests Survey Protocols Manual. This manual outlines the field methodology used by AusPlots to establish and survey plots in Australia’s tall eucalypt forests. It includes information about the installation of plot infrastructure, and the core vegetation and soils measurements for AusPlots Forests surveys.
The new AusPlots website www.ausplots.org.au is live now, to help people access and use AusPlots’ suite of infrastructure
